Business Analyzer is platform for Business Intelligence.  Standard cubes are provided for various Accounting and ERP systems for quick installation and startup.  However every organization sees their data differently and needs customizations to be an effective tool.

Business Analyzer takes data from a source system (Accounting, ERP or Data Warehouse) and re-organizes it from OLTP (On Line Transaction Processing) formats to a relational view that is much more effective for reporting and analytics.  Through these views, Stored Procedures, or various types of scripts, data can be consolidated, merged and re-aligned to meet almost any type of reporting and analytic requirement.

The key point is that you can start with pre-built Analytics and then customize it to meet your needs!
