Analysis Tools
Center of all the magic – makes valuable business insights visual! Data from virtually anywhere* can viewed and analyzed using our Windows or Web Analyzer or our Web Dashboards. Easily identify outliers and focus on the “exceptions” – positive or negative.  Colors and shapes help you isolate data and spot trends.

*Visual Analyzer can connect to data in SQL Databases (any relational source, SQL Server, Oracle, Access, MySQL, Excel, XML, ODBC), MS Analysis Services (Highly Optimized SQL Server Cubes, utilizing MDX Queries for super fast data retrieval, and managing very large data sources on scalable servers), and InfoPlanIT Cubes (created from relational databases on-demand or on an automated schedule such as daily, hourly, etc). InfoPlanIT Cubes provide snapshots of relational data and  can be saved to local systems and allow for offline analysis in the Windows version of InfoPlanIT’s Visual Analyzer.


Powerful Filtering options
Half the battle of doing insightful data analysis is having powerful filtering options that are easy to use and make sense. We’ve made it simple to isolate and strip out data so you’re in control. Filters allow you to narrow down the breath of data available into a subset of actionable information.

Page Filters provide the ability to key in on a single position in an Attribute Field. By using a drop down box or arrows you can quickly scroll through the positions and see how your data changes so that you can play some what-if scenarios while you play with the filters you want.

Attribute Filters allow you to select multiple values or ranges of values.  Options like Equals, Begins with, Contains create powerful filter expressions.

Quick Filters allow you to easily click on different levels of an attribute and select / deselect items. And finally values can be filtered to narrow the results even further.

Schema Manager
Setup behind the scenes is a snap with our Scheme Manager. Information about your schemas is inherited from Microsoft Analysis Services and can be customized for SQL Queries. This saves your database technical staff loads of time and eliminates duplicate effort. The Hierarchical Dimension Attributes organizes your data in a meaningful manner and enables the summary to detail drill down capability. It offers an incredibly flexible range of measures taking values directly from the data source and allows you to calculate values by combining data from any other information. This extends your analysis beyond just what the data source provides and gives you insights not possible elsewhere!

Once the schema is established in Visual Analyzer, the reporting possibilities are endless and all this power is always delivered in simple ways so that even the uninitiated can create beautiful and consistent models and build meaningful reports and dashboards!


Exporting Data
After you’ve analyzed and found insights through your data, there’s a good chance you’ll also want your data in Excel (or other apps) for additional manipulating, sharing, reporting and commentary. The key is to get it there without a lot of effort and Visual Analyzer has you covered. We keep things flexible – no locking you it into a single environment.

Once you identified an opportunity, drill down into the details with our simple to use Pivot Table view and then easily export to Excel!


Layout Manager
You can use Layouts to save time and to automate repetitive reporting tasks! Once you create a ‘view’ of the data you can save it with our Layout Manager.  Layouts can be private for a user, or published to our Web Portal and shared.  This allows for any level of granular security your organisation needs while getting views out to as many people as possible quickly.  This means that the effort of creating the best and most insightful views of your data only needs to be done once and by the person who has the greatest expertise of that data.  This results in huge time savings and agreement on the correctness of reported data, something many companies waste many hours not quite getting there.


Visual Analyzer Web Portal
Our Web Portal makes visualizing your data everywhere possible! It ties everything together in one easy to use and manage web enabled interface.  This allows you to create and publish Dashboards throughout your organization or on the web. The Web Portal can run stand-alone with its own user security and has a web based user interface. Or you can publish content using our Analysis Widgets within your own web applications (similar to RSS type news feeds). This means your internal applications and intranets gain all the benefits that we bring to everyone in your organization through our powerful tools!

Analysis Widgets are customized data visualizations that you can combine to make dashboards or embed directly in other applications like Excel and PowerPoint. Monitoring metrics and highlighting trends made to fit in your existing workflows and reporting.
